My Logo
While thinking about creating my logo I saw a bag with a red star on it and i thought i would some how incorparate that as my logo. While letting creativity just do it's thing I ended up with an orange sun. While still having red star in the back of my head, I decide to name my company after it. A little twist on art perspective.
National Geographic a la Lizzy
The Single Flame of Lizzy
I used mainly the warp tool to manipulate my type, used a handmade gradient for the background, and used gaussian blur to create the soft glow. When I created this piece, I was thinking about how much more powerful a source of light can seem when surrounded by such vast darkness. In the bright sunshine, the beauty and power of a single flame would be diminished if not entirely lost. The greater the darkness, the more vivid is the smallest light.

absolut vermont
I created the piece in photoshop by using an existing absolut bottle image and rendering a bottle over it by using boxes and circles, bending the pieces, using the gradient tool and then knocking back the opacity. The text was created on separate layers and warped to wrap around the bottle. I kept the medalion and reflection from the original. The mountain and snowboarder are pictures I took and pieced behind the rendered bottle.

The Circle of Life
Self-portrait collage
Enter The Elephant
The above image is a collage that explains my sense of inner peace. My spiritual animal, the elephant is the most obvious and upfront part of me. The pier is a place where I go to find a piece of mind and the graffiti/light drawings are a form of entertainment that I find relaxing. I've also included myself wearing my favorite jacket. EnjoY$
Dip In Sip To Drip The Rip
As a photographer I decided to collage my images through multiple exposures. I've combined an image of my friend Troller, my girlfriend, Satu, and myself. These pictures combined describe a theme of friendship that I hold very close. The setting is a dark corner in Stearns, a deserted parking lot, and a car which my girlfriend and I have taken numerous roadtrips in. These settings fit nicely into this collage by giving a sample of my interest in photography.
Self Portrait-Mesa
For my self portrait I choose to use some of my favorite photographs I have taken and manipulate them . I started by changing the hue and saturation on a photo and it became an almost "Andy Warhol" inspired collage.I feel it represents me and some of the things I enjoy.

Moving Forward Collage
I was interested in giving the impression of movement through the clouds, the dog walking away from the viewer, the hidden bicycle. I think my life is in constant movement (in everything from paying the bills to multiple relocations) and these images best represent my current state of mind. My dog has been my "shadow" since I adopted her 6 years ago and it seems appropriate that she is next to my shadow in my self portrait. I also wanted to demonstrate that not everything in life stays where it should. I made the different elements of the piece encroach on each other as things are apt to do.
What Lizzy's lizard witnessed
Hidden in the Hills
Lizzy's world.
A snapshot of the world which means the most to me. The setting is that of the farm which I grew up on and everything that truly matters to me is connected to it. The hippie shack on the right has, my whole life, been known as Little Paradise, rightly named. I have spent the past 3 summers living within its serenity, surrounded by the land that is sacred to me. This is my hidden cove of paradise.
Fish in a Bottle
I choose an image of empty vases, and merged it with photos of my own. The fish are from a tropical tank and the hand is an ice sculptor. After getting the lighting on my back ground set, I used Photoshop and cropped the image of the fish, then placed them in the vase and changes the levels and hue and saturation. The hand i did the same to get the water in the small vase, then i used the magnetic lasso and magic wand tools to cut the hand out. Once everything is set in the vase and the lighting is good i used the overlay setting to make it feel like the fish and hand are really in bottles.
